Gumby Domestic Shorthair Kitten Male for sale in Lancaster, Pennsylvania

My story
Hi everyone, my name is Gumby and I am about 4 months old. I am a special needs kitty as I have Juvenile Cataracts. Our vet, Dr. Fijalkowski, has this to say for those of you wanting to know more.  " Like his sibling Pokey, Gumby is developing cataracts in both eyes. To date the left eye has a more mature cataract, as the fundus is barely visible. A central cataract is seen in the right eye, but at this time, the fundus is still visible. No retinal abnormalities are seen in this eye. Juvenile cataracts can be hereditary, or can develop secondary to poor nutrition or toxin exposure. Both kittens in this litter presented in very poor condition, but the cataracts did not develop until this month. It is likely both genetics and having a poor start in life played a role in this development now. Although living with cataracts is not painful, cats with cataracts are essentially blind. They can figure out how to do the things they want, use the litter box, and play with belled toys and have a happy life. There are veterinary opthalmologists who can remove cataracts from cats eyes. If this is something you would like to pursue, your regular veterinarian can help you set up an appointment for an eye evaluation." I am otherwise a very happy kitten who is just hoping to have a forever home and a chance at a normal life! I am spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on my vaccines. I am available for adoption at the Pet Pantrys main facility, 26 Millersville Road, Lancaster. If you think I may be the purrfect match for your family please fill out an adoption application! Applications are available at any of our adoption center locations as well as online at petpantrylc.org.
