Pokey Domestic Shorthair Kitten Male for sale in Lancaster, Pennsylvania

My story
Hi everyone, my name is Pokey and I am about 4 months old. I am a special needs kitty because I have developed Juvenile Cataracts. Here is what our vet, Dr. Fijalkowski has to say about them. " Pokey developed cataracts in his eyes this month. They appeared and matured quickly. To date , his pupils respond to light, but the lens is completely opaque, making examination of his fundus impossible. Juvenile cataracts can be hereditary, or may result from poor nutrition or toxin exposure. As his sibling has also developed cataracts, and both had a rough start I life, the development of their cataracts is likely a combination of these causes. Cats with cataracts are essentially blind. Pokey still responds to light. It is not painful to have cataracts and he can still live a happy life. Cats with cataracts figure out where things are and how to do the things they want. They use the litter box , although having one on the level of the home where the cat spends the most time is best. They like to play-toys with bells may be better suited to them.  There are veterinary opthalmologists who can remove cataracts in animals. Your regular veterinarian can refer you to one if this is something you think you may want to pursue." Over all I am just hoping that I can find a forever family who will give me the chance to live my life to the fullest. I am a fun, loving kitten and want to find a home of my own! I am spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on my vaccines. I am available for adoption at the Pet Pantrys main facility, 26 Millersville Road, Lancaster. If you think I may be the purrfect match for your family please fill out an adoption application! Applications are available at any of our adoption center locations as well as online at petpantrylc.org.
